世纪公园 TAKE 2

Century Park.

We went back to Century Park last week. This time we were more prepared. And by prepared I mean we brought more food with us. But on the ride to the park we couldn't wait the ten stops from Zhongshan Park station to the Century Park station, we were all so hungry, we just broke out the food we had brought with us and started eating on the subway. Notice we are each eating something different. Yan suggested not going to the park and just staying on the subway and have the picnic where there is some air-conditioning. I said, if so we should take Line 4 which goes in a circle and you can look out on the scenery outside since its above ground.

Our Picnic site. After we paid the 10RMB/each to get into the park, we pretty much took ten steps in and turn left to the first patch of shade we could find to take refuge from the heat. For that we probably could have just gone to Changfeng park or Zhongshan Park. But it was still worth it.
As soon as we sat down, everyone started pulling out all their food. A nice selection of food. We had sushi, fried noodles, roasted pork, smoked turkey, bread and some fruit. Soon we had a giant pile that was so overwhelming we had to put all the chips and cookies to the side for a while.

After lunch, we played some cards. Then we kind of split up. Mingxin, Maria and their friend went to the paddle boats. Tao and I took a little walk around the park (met a very friendly duck on the way.) Yan rested some more.
