Happy New Year! (A bit late, I was having trouble posting pictures on Blogger)

We started celebrating the New Year with Beijing Kao Ya (Pecking Duck). We went to the famous restaurant on Hua Hai Lu. It is a branch of the one from Beijing. The food was delicious, the service not so great. But we still had a great time together.

As we were trying to figure out where to go next we saw that The Big Christmas tree. (This is the one we came all the way down to Hua Hai Lu on Christmas Eve to see, but when we got here the lights were already turned off at 10:30) Go figure, it was lit up on New Year's Eve.

For a little while we thought we might need to do countdown the New Year in a taxi. After running around we finally made it to Claire's for the countdown. I think that night was the latest I had stayed out. After the party we had some early morning (around 4 Am) Dim Sum. And then we were able to take the subway back to the dorms since they had opened again. The sun is actually rising in the background of the picture but for some odd reason it looks dark.
