Black Bread

I went shopping with a friend, Yan, and on our way back from the store we stopped into a bakery. There was some black bread right in front. It was called bamboo charcoal bread. And quite expensive but it was very strange looking so we just had to try it. A little disappointing after the first bite. It tastes just like regular bread to me (a bit sweeter than what we are used to back home but like any other bread from here). I was expecting something very different in flavor. Yan said she can taste a hint of the charcoal but I couldn't taste it. Over all, it was good since it was very light and fluffy. Reminds me of green ketchup.
